Past relevent for Future??

Hmmm.. Well this is my first Blog, so I tot that I'd write on a subject which is very close to my heart. Here goes :D

Though it seems yesterday,it all started few years ago...Guess some morning in my High school days. I'd been attending an annual Vedic camp conducted by "Manisha Cultural Foundation" - a wing of "Veda Vijnana Gurukulam" in Bangalore since 8th std. It was a residential camp, we were made to get up at about 5 am in the morning!! (I'd have got up that early in the morning only on the DIPAWALI day, for AARTHI) So, obviously it was'nt taken well by me for the first few mornings....
We were taught Yogasanas , Vedic chants, Bhagavad Gita etc . Along with that the main idea of the camp was to make us realise the "Rishi Parampara" that we inheritantly are part of, as Indians!
We were told about stories of our great ancestors , what all they did, how they led there lives, what principles they followed, and stuff like that....
Parallelly we were also thought of how the English people through "Macauley" system of education has deeply handicaped our basic thinking , our basic nature....
For the first 2 camps I did'nt feel much about it... may be I was litle Young to realise its importance, its core purpose....
It was when my 3rd year that i REALISED that there is something, some unanswered question.I wanted
try to find the answer , and to fill the gap which i felt was staring me into the face... " Could I ? " was the next question in my mind."Yes, for sure." was my immediate reply to myself.. reassurance may be.. I always thought that , the first two important days of one's life are :

1> the day u are born.

2> the day u realise for what u r born.

I first thought I'd found my task for this life.... Its was all sudden burst of feelings in my body i felt physically very hot at that time, I'd actually fasted for 2 days until I was consoled ....then after few days, I re-thought about all the things that I'd felt, the things I'd committed myself to..... then I realised, "ok, I defenitely want to do something for my country.... but wat do I do?? What is that needs to be done??What is that unanswered question??How should I go about it??Whom should I approach??.................."
my heart skipped a beat!! I was suddenly blank....I did'nt know what to do and where to start from...
Meanwhile, I was in quest of finding my question, let alone answer... hehe.. I was speaking to people about our past, the knowladge that we posses which are locked in the codes of the Vedic Language... I spoke to my friends that we need to be aware of our grand past and that would certainly show us the way ahead.... I used t quote from Samskrut Shubhashitas and Upanishads and explain its meaning.... I was trying my best to find myself a question.. a question to be asked to oneself ... whose answer would REDEEM the sacred lives of our Ancestors, and would make all of us realise not just belive that "We were Great, We are Inherently Great, We should Behave that we are Great" {NOT EGOISTIC , BUT SELF REALISATION} the realisation that we are "SANATANI's"
I wondered then, why would people now in 2k+ age care about what happened thousands of years ago? Is that having any practical significane? 'm I wanting to dedicate my life to a cause which is utterly unrelative to the conteporary world??
this was the second time my heart skipped a beat!!

I was a little confused to be frank...

then one fine day I got hold of a book "Man Making Message" authored by Swami Vivekananda. That movement would be one snapshot of my life I'd forever cherish....
The book included his speaches in Chicago ,1893
He'd had just mentioned in "Paper on Hinduism" that -we are glad that contemporary science is talking about the concepts which we were cherishing our bosom for thousands of years....
It was just a spark that was required , why not.. take up a project.... project to educate people about the knowladge which was decoded in our ancient Vedas....All crudely know that there is a lot of science in Vedas ... but that about it.. very few know beyond.....

I'd heard about our own scientists, a very few of them.... like

Cannada -- the father of atomic theory
Purusha Sukta ( a vedic verse) -- which talks about "Plasma state"
Description of a Plant cell in one of the vedic verse...
ADvanced concepts of "plastic surgery" , "tissue culture" , "cloning" etc just hidden behind the metamorphical language of Vedic sanskrit......
These are only few of the concepts of which the Vedas speak about....

I now was getting closer to my question............

how about doing research on Scientific Knowladge of Vedas...? That would be the best way to grasp people's interest.....
I searched in the net and with other sources... weather research on Vedas is beeing conducted ............ Fact was it was going on, but mostly with the "spiritual" banner. I felt that there was need to educate atleast us Indians that we are infact having more advaced scientific concepts in front of us....
what about the story of "Pushpaka Vimana " ? wasn't that an aircraft...
what about Snjaya's "Divya Drishti" ? was it some kind of wireless communication....

Does our Veda have those answers?

In a particular scene of Mahabharat, frustrated Bheema appeals to his brother to shrink the 13 years of their VANA VASA to mere 13 days through a vedic chant... isn't it vaguely have the concept of time travel, speed of light (we have to travel faster than speed of light to make time speed up /slow down {relatively} )

So, my quest for question had taken few more steps ahead...

I'm now 19 year old. If I could co-ordinate to build a Vedic research Center comprising of Vedic scholors to decode the vedic language, and Scientists of different fields... to interpret them...
We should be able to build a data base which after few years( I know this can take 10-20 years... but still its worth it..) would be so appealing that ....

1> It could be included in Syllabus of School curiculum starting from Primary Education itself.
2> Seperate branch/subject in degree College {Vedic Science and Technology}
3> We could as an Organisation encourage double degree holders to pursue for a Ph.D in this fields.. first by making our data base open source, secondly by Issuing grants as Scholorships...
4> We could create jobs through this , which would definitely interest people...
5> We could send the message to the world that "We are still the 'Jagad Guru' " :)
etc

THrough this project I hope I'll be doing Service to my Motherland... and make realise to the contemporary world that when we say "Vedas are TRUE for all Ages" WE DO MEAN IT !!

Past is infact very important to our present and our tomorrow.....

VEDA 4 FUTURE !
